Egypt

Exodus
7:14 So the Lord said to Moses: (Ex. 8:15; 10:1, 20, 27) “Pharaoh’s heart is hard; he refuses to let the people go.
7:15 Go to Pharaoh in the morning, when he goes out to the (Ex. 2:5; 8:20) water, and you shall stand by the river’s bank to meet him; and (Ex. 4:2, 3; 7:10) the rod which was turned to a serpent you shall take in your hand.
7:16 And you shall say to him, (Ex. 3:13, 18; 4:22) ‘The Lord God of the Hebrews has sent me to you, saying, “Let My people go, (Ex. 3:12, 18; 4:23; 5:1, 3; 8:1) that they may serve Me in the wilderness”; but indeed, until now you would not hear!

8:1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord : “Let My people go, (Ex. 3:12, 18; 4:23; 5:1, 3) that they may serve Me.
8:2 But if you (Ex. 7:14; 9:2) refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all your territory with (Rev. 16:13) frogs.
8:3 So the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into your house, into your (Ps. 105:30) bedroom, on your bed, into the houses of your servants, on your people, into your ovens, and into your kneading bowls.
8:4 And the frogs shall come up on you, on your people, and on all your servants.” ’ ”

8:15 But when Pharaoh saw that there was (Eccl. 8:11) relief, (Ex. 7:14, 22; 9:34;1 Sam. 6:6) he hardened his heart and did not heed them, as the Lord had said.
8:16 So the Lord said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Stretch out your rod, and strike the dust of the land, so that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt.’ ”

8:19 Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is (Ex. 7:5; 10:7;1 Sam. 6:3, 9; Ps. 8:3; Luke 11:20) the finger of God.” But Pharaoh’s (Ex. 8:15) heart grew hard, and he did not heed them, just as the Lord had said.
8:20 And the Lord said to Moses, (Ex. 7:15; 9:13) “Rise early in the morning and stand before Pharaoh as he comes out to the water. Then say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord : (Ex. 3:18; 4:23; 5:1, 3; 8:1) “Let My people go, that they may serve Me.
8:21 Or else, if you will not let My people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies on you and your servants, on your people and into your houses. The houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground on which they stand.
8:22 And in that day (Ex. 9:4, 6, 26; 10:23; 11:6, 7; 12:13) I will set apart the land of (Gen. 50:8) Goshen, in which My people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there, in order that you may (Ex. 7:5, 17; 10:2; 14:4) know that I am the Lord in the midst of the (Ex. 9:29) land.
8:23 I will make a difference between My people and your people. Tomorrow this (Ex. 4:8) sign shall be.” ’ ”

8:29 Then Moses said, “Indeed I am going out from you, and I will entreat the Lord , that the swarms of flies may depart tomorrow from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people. But let Pharaoh not (Ex. 8:8, 15) deal deceitfully anymore in not letting the people go to sacrifice to the Lord .”
8:30 So Moses went out from Pharaoh and (Ex. 8:12) entreated the Lord .
8:31 And the Lord did according to the word of Moses; He removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people. Not one remained.
8:32 But Pharaoh (Ex. 4:21; 8:8, 15; Ps. 52:2) hardened his heart at this time also; neither would he let the people go.

9:7 Then Pharaoh sent, and indeed, not even one of the livestock of the Israelites was dead. But the (Ex. 7:14; 8:32) heart of Pharaoh became hard, and he did not let the people go.
9:8 So the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Take for yourselves handfuls of ashes from a furnace, and let Moses scatter it toward the heavens in the sight of Pharaoh.
9:9 And it will become fine dust in all the land of Egypt, and it will cause (Deut. 28:27; Rev. 16:2) boils that break out in sores on man and beast throughout all the land of Egypt.”

9:12 But the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh; and he (Ex. 7:13) did not heed them, just (Ex. 4:21) as the Lord had spoken to Moses.
9:13 Then the Lord said to Moses, (Ex. 8:20) “Rise early in the morning and stand before Pharaoh, and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord God of the Hebrews: “Let My people go, that they may (Ex. 9:1) serve Me,
9:14 for at this time I will send all My plagues to your very heart, and on your servants and on your people, (Ex. 8:10; Deut. 3:24;2 Sam. 7:22;1 Chr. 17:20; Ps. 86:8; Is. 45:5–8; 46:9; Jer. 10:6, 7) that you may know that there is none like Me in all the earth.
9:15 Now if I had (Ex. 3:20; 7:5) stretched out My hand and struck you and your people with (Ex. 5:3) pestilence, then you would have been cut off from the earth.
9:16 But indeed for (Ex. 14:17; Prov. 16:4; (Rom. 9:17, 18;1 Pet. 2:8, 9)) this purpose I have raised you up, that I may (Ex. 7:4, 5; 10:1; 11:9; 14:17) show My power in you, and that My (1 Kin. 8:43) name may be declared in all the earth.
9:17 As yet you exalt yourself against My people in that you will not let them go.
9:18 Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause very heavy hail to rain down, such as has not been in Egypt since its founding until now.
9:19 Therefore send now and gather your livestock and all that you have in the field, for the hail shall come down on every man and every animal which is found in the field and is not brought home; and they shall die.” ’ ”

9:34 And when Pharaoh saw that the rain, the hail, and the thunder had ceased, he sinned yet more; and he hardened his heart, he and his servants.
9:35 So (Ex. 4:21) the heart of Pharaoh was hard; neither would he let the children of Israel go, as the Lord had spoken by Moses.

10:3 So Moses and Aaron came in to Pharaoh and said to him, “Thus says the Lord God of the Hebrews: ‘How long will you refuse to (1 Kin. 21:29;2 Chr. 34:27); Job 42:6; (James 4:10;1 Pet. 5:6)) humble yourself before Me? Let My people go, that they may (Ex. 4:23; 8:1; 9:1) serve Me.
10:4 Or else, if you refuse to let My people go, behold, tomorrow I will bring (Prov. 30:27; Rev. 9:3) locusts into your territory.
10:5 And they shall cover the face of the earth, so that no one will be able to see the earth; and (Ex. 9:32; Joel 1:4; 2:25) they shall eat the residue of what is left, which remains to you from the hail, and they shall eat every tree which grows up for you out of the field.

10:20 But the Lord (Ex. 4:21; 10:1; 11:10) hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he did not let the children of Israel go.
10:21 Then the Lord said to Moses, (Ex. 9:22) “Stretch out your hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, darkness which may even be felt.”

10:27 But the Lord (Ex. 4:21; 10:1, 20; 14:4, 8) hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he would not let them go.
10:28 Then Pharaoh said to him, (Ex. 10:11) “Get away from me! Take heed to yourself and see my face no more! For in the day you see my face you shall die!”
10:29 So Moses said, “You have spoken well. (Ex. 11:8; Heb. 11:27) I will never see your face again.”

11:9 But the Lord said to Moses, (Ex. 3:19; 7:4; 10:1) “Pharaoh will not heed you, so that (Ex. 7:3; 9:16) My wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.”
11:10 So Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh; (Ex. 7:3; 9:12; 10:1, 20, 27; Josh. 11:20; Is. 63:17; John 12:40; Rom. 2:5) and the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he did not let the children of Israel go out of his land.

12:29 (Ex. 11:4, 5) And it came to pass at midnight that (Num. 8:17; 33:4; Ps. 135:8; 136:10) the Lord struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of (Ex. 9:6) livestock.
12:30 So Pharaoh rose in the night, he, all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt, for there was not a house where there was not one dead.
12:31 Then he (Ex. 10:28, 29) called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, “Rise, go out from among my people, (Ex. 8:25; 11:1) both you and the children of Israel. And go, serve the Lord as you have (Ex. 10:9) said.
12:32 (Ex. 10:9, 26) Also take your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be gone; and bless me also.”
